Of Waukesha, died on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc at the age of 80. Bill was born on March 26, 1928 in Milwaukee, the son of Garland and Ellen (Coskey) Bautz. After serving his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952, he went on to the University of Wisconsin – Madison, receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was united in marriage to Mary Rose Galioto on May 25, 1957; she preceded him in death in 1994. Bill was employed for several companies during his working career, including Schlitz, Falk, Jaeger, and Jones Dairy Farm, retiring in 1993. He was fondly known to his grandchildren as “Papa Bill”. Bill will be sadly missed by his children: Beth (Troy) Mahr of Pleasant Prairie, Lynne Bautz of Indiatlantic, FL, Karen (Mark) Kroll of La Crosse, Brian (Linda) Bautz of Waukesha, Jean Galioto of San Diego, CA; grandchildren: Michaela Kroll, Rosalia and Riley Mahr, Nicholas, Gabriel, and Samuel Bautz; He is further survived by his sister, Nancy Bautz of Sarasota, FL along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife, Mary, he is preceded in death by sisters: Elizabeth, Janet and Barbara, and his parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. The funeral service will be at 3:00PM. Private graveside services with full military honors will be held on Monday at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.
