William J. "Bill" Ryan, age 88 of Waukesha, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Clement J. Zablocki V.A. Medical Center. He was born on February 16, 1919 in Boltonville, Wisconsin, the son of Maurice and Lissette (Fickler) Ryan. He was employed for 29 years at Square D prior to retirement. Along with being a charter member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Waukesha, Bill was a long time member of the American Legion Post 8 and the Waukesha VFW. He was proud to be active in A.A. in Waukesha for over 30 years. Bill will be fondly remembered as a loving father, devoted grandfather, and sweet great-bapa. Bill will be sadly missed by his two daughters: Elizabeth (Chuck) Juckem of Waukesha, and Regina (Gregory) Camas of New York; two grandchildren: Lisa (Steve) Armitage of Elm Grove, and Alan Juckem of Milwaukee; 2 great-grandchildren: Grace and Nathan; and his siblings: Arthur Ryan, Bernice Henn, and his twin brother, Maurice (Louise) Ryan. He is preceded in death by a sister, other brothers, and his parents. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 W. State Hwy 59, Waukesha. Fr. Jim Loehr will preside. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.
