William “Bill” J. Timblin of Waukesha died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the age of 69. He was born in Waukesha on April 19, 1947 to the union of Jorgen and Ivy Timblin.
Bill grew up in Waukesha and lived in the same Pewaukee home for over 30 years. Growing up he enjoyed family time with his brother John and his sister Rose Marie.
In his later years Bill became part of the CCLS independent living program where he was assisted by Amy Barr. Amy assisted Bill for over 12 years and during this time Bill became more than just a client she worked with, he became part of the family. Her husband Ryan volunteered to become Bill’s guardian and “Uncle” Bill spent time with them and their children going out to movies and getting the big bucket of popcorn.
Several years ago Bill moved into the Pebble Valley apartment program at CCLS where his care and needs were monitored by Crystal Freeman. He shared an apartment with Robert Godersky and they enjoyed watching Westerns and wrestling.
Bill enjoyed watching old movies, collecting model trains, and reading the National Geographic magazine. Bill enjoyed sharing stories of his adventurous younger days when he swam across Pewaukee Lake, rode his bicycle to Madison, and enjoyed getting his nieces and nephews the big bucket of chicken when he babysat them.
He is survived by his brother John, nieces, and nephews, special friends Charlie, Tom, and Kris. Bill was preceded in death by his father Jorgen, mother Ivy (nee Bray), and his sister Rose Marie Dale.
A special thank you to Crystal Freeman and Dan Kaste at CCLS and Tommie-Lee Barant at Next Step.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. memorial service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. Waukesha. Private interment at Prairie Home Cemetery.
