Yvonne N. Gibson

Yvonne N. Gibson, age 85, of the town of Genesee, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the home she has lived in since 1967. She was born on December 12, 1930, in Waukesha, to Fred C. and Elsie A. (nee Selle) Katzner. She was a 1948 graduate of Waukesha High School. She has been a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church since 1967, where she married Robert Leo Gibson on May 20, 1967. She had worked for Butler Bin and for 19 years had worked at First National Bank of Waukesha. For 12 years she was the secretary for the Planning Commission and also Deputy Clerk for the town of Genesee. She enjoyed reading, making afghans, scrapbooking, planning class reunions and watching football, especially the Packers and Badgers.
She will be sadly missed by her children James R. (Lynn) Gibson and Donna M. “Muffy” Gibson both of the town of Genesee. Dear grandmother of Matthew Robert Gibson and Jenna Catherine Gibson both of Genesee. She is further survived by her niece Cindi (Paul) Schmitt of Newport News, VA, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Leo on January 3, 1999 and brother Donald M. (Barbara) Katzner.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, S38 W31602 Wern Way, Waukesha, WI 53189. Graveside services will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to HAWS, 701 Northview Rd., Waukesha, WI 53188, or St. Paul’s Catholic Church (address above), or Ten Chimneys, P.O.
